The FEED delegation had the honor of attending the launch of the UP-AGREES Project by Hon’ble Shri Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh—a transformative initiative set to boost agricultural productivity, resilience, and market integration across the state.
The project is structured around five key components:
Productivity Enhancement – Strengthening agricultural resilience through efficient resource use, robust seed systems, and climate action.
Commodity Clusters – Integrating smallholder farmers into value chains via crop clusters, agri-SEZs, and export hubs.
Digital & Financial Ecosystems – Expanding access to agri-fintech solutions and technology-driven services.
Project Management & Learning – Ensuring effective implementation through data-driven learning and strategic partnerships.
Contingent Emergency Response (CERC) – Strengthening disaster preparedness and response in agriculture.
This initiative is expected to increase farmer yields from 10 quintals to 14-15 quintals per acre, delivering a major boost to Uttar Pradesh’s agricultural economy.
A huge thank you to Ms. Rajya Shree Singh for inviting us to be part of the beginning of this transformative journey!
