It was a pleasure to attend the hashtag#3rd National Sustainable Agriculture Summit & Awards 2026 in New Delhi alongside my colleague Shubham Dubey, representing the Forum of Enterprises for Equitable Development (FEED).
It was an honour for FEED to partner with Sustainability Matters, a platform that brought together leading organisations, policymakers, practitioners, cooperatives, industry experts and development actors working across agriculture, dairy, livestock, fisheries, rural value chains and sustainable development.

The summit was organised around the theme “Krishi Samriddhi 2047 – Building a Resilient & Self-Reliant Agriculture Ecosystem”, with a strong focus on the evolving rural economy.
What stood out to me most was the thoughtful articulation of the programme and the relevance of the themes chosen for dialogue.

We had the opportunity to hear from several distinguished voices from the sector, including 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗶𝘃 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵, 𝗛𝗼𝗻’𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝘂𝘀𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝘆 & 𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗮𝘁𝗶 𝗥𝗮𝗷; 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗮𝘆 𝗞𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗝𝗵𝗮, 𝗛𝗼𝗻’𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝘆𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗯𝗵𝗮; 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗵, 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻, National Dairy Development Board, alongside several experts and practitioners contributing to the agricultural and rural development ecosystem.

A particularly interesting area of discussion was the role of the dairy and livestock ecosystem in strengthening rural incomes and national economic growth, including strengthening milk procurement systems, value addition, dairy processing, exports, nutrition, climate-resilient dairy practices and animal disease management.

It was also wonderful to learn from several other professionals and sector leaders, including 𝗗𝗿 𝗝𝗮𝘆𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶, 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗱 (𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗕𝗜), 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗱 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱 (𝗖𝗡𝗥𝗜), and a special mention to 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗞𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗿, Co-founder of Transforming Rural India Foundation (TRIF) and Trustee, FEED.

Events like these reinforce the importance of creating spaces where policy, enterprise, technology and grassroots realities come together.
